Polygamous-sect children ordered to stay in Texas custody

The more than 400 children taken from a ranch run by a polygamous sect will stay in state custody and be subject to genetic testing to sort out family relationships that have confounded welfare authorities, a judge ruled Friday.
I do not support the FLDS Church but surely it is a great injustice to treat children in this way. The kids should be immediately returned to their mothers and the FBI should investigate to find the imposter who made the original complaint, which has been used to create such a mischief.
State District Judge Barbara Walther heard 21 hours of testimony over two days before ruling that the children would be kept in custody while the state continues to investigate allegations of abuse stemming from the teachings of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
“This is but the beginning,” Judge Barbara said. Who, I believe, is the same judge that ordered the raid. This hardly seems to be fair and unbiased, in fact I would suggest that it is unconstitutional.
Judge Barbara also ordered that all 416 children and parents be given genetic tests. Child welfare officials say they’ve had difficulty determining how the children and adults are related because of evasive or changing answers. A mobile genetic lab will take samples Monday at the main shelter where children are being kept; parents will be able to submit samples Tuesday in Eldorado, closer to the ranch.
This is a tyrannical judgment. Texas takes the lead in moving towards becoming a police state. Members of the FLDS are guilty of polygamy at worst, and adultery at least. If the government wants to press charges for that then I don’t see why they have to break up families and confiscate children.
I remember when I was a child I called my parents Mommy and Daddy. As I got older, I suspected that their real names were Honey and Darl. How about you? How old were you when you learned your parents given names?
These parents have had their rights violated in the worst possible way and so have their children. We still have not been presented with any proof to substantiate the claims of child abuse.
It’s kinda reminiscent of the Iraq situation. Somebody said that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, which were going to be used against us and the free world. Washington gave the order and we invaded an almost defenseless country. There were no WMDs, but we destroyed their cities and hung their leaders anyway.
